Requiescat in Pace Daisy Neves

Daisy in Manoppello in October 2018

Daisy alongside her Son Erwin and Fr. Carmine speaking to pilgrims to Manoppello from California
Our beloved friend and guide in promoting the knowledge and love of the Holy Face around the world has died peacefully early this morning.  There is so much to say about the life of this modern day St. Helen who managed in the space of five years to light a fire in the hearts of millions for the Holy Face.  For now we simply pray with the joyful hope in the words of Deacon Christoph Sandoval of the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco:  "May the Holy Angels escort our beloved Daisy Neves to the bosom of the Father in the company of Our Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother. May she behold the sweet countenance of the Holy Face of Manoppello for all eternity." Amen!

Article on Holy Face of Manoppello in diocesan weekly Catholic San Francisco

Christ’s image inspires at Italian shrine: Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, while in Rome to visit with local priests studying and serving there, celebrated Mass Jan. 20 at the Shrine of the Holy Face of Manoppello in Manoppello, Italy. The Holy Face is said to be a cloth laid on Jesus' face after his death.
