European and African Bishops to go Together as Pilgrims to the Holy Face in February 2012

In February of 2012, as part of the European and African Bishops symposium in Rome to prepare for the upcoming Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization, there will be a pilgrimage of these Bishops to the Holy Face of Manoppello. May Our Lady bless and guide this holy and inspired effort.

Did I read your report correctly; that the African and European Catholic Bishops will be in Rome next month (February, 2012) to attend a Symposium in preparation for the Thirteenth Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops (which is due to be held from October 7 to 28, 2012); that during the Symposium they will pilgrimage to Manoppello?

Yes. The Capuchins and people of Manoppello are getting ready for this important event.

Re: The bishops pilgrimage to Manoppello:

I can't find any information on this proposed pilgrimage. I searched Zenit; the Vatican's Press Office; Inside The Vatican, and L'OSSERVATORE ROMANO -- none of these sources mentions the pilgrimage. What's your source?

What is your source for that headline? I checked all the usual sources (Vatican Information Service; Inside the Vatican; ZENIT; National Catholic Register; CNS, etc.) and NONE of them mention it.
